Bright Spot

Despite my previous post venting about the allotted time dedicated to all the terrible auditions, there have been some bright spots from time to time on American Idol.... Exhibit 1 (see photo)! This gorgeous talent tried out in New York City and knocked it out of the park with a [the late] Gerald Levert song. Not only a pretty face but a beautiful voice, and get this, he's only 16 years old! I cannot believe that. His look, demeanor, confidence all seem so much older. All I can say is wow. Needless to say he made it to Hollywood, which means we all get to see him at least one more time!

Oh, that last comment about this guy was supposed to go here but it went to your previous post. Anyhow, since I'm backwards now, I have a comment about the terrible beginning auditions.

Yeah, it is TV afterall so producers do buy into what worked previously and then over do it times 10. People do like some of the silly stuff but the show decided to go way overboard with it as a result. ...Well I hope they will turn out some real talent this year after the silly auditions are over because the past two years have had atrocious talent.... except for my girl Carrie Underwood of course. ...Man, I wish that I still had that one performance that we love on tape ;-p
